General information

  • The type III interefrons show IFN-like activities, but they action through another receptor complex than the type I IFNs. [1]
  • There are signs for an antiviral function of the Interferon-lambdas, but the real antiviral potential in vivo of it, or the mechanism it works is still not clear. [1]
