This phenotype is pathologic
Adrenal insufficiency is a pathologic condition characterized by impaired adrenocortical function and decreased production of mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids and/or adrenal androgens. Tertiary adrenal insufficiency can be caused by any process that involves the hypothalamus and interferes with corticotropin releasing factor secretion.
