Details for receptor: IL-1RI

EndoNet ID: ENR00861

To link to the content of EndoNet use the EndoNet ID that is given on the detail pages in the format ENX0000, where X is a place holder for the type of the component (e. g. R for receptor or C for anatomical structure).
As URL for the linking append this ID to the detail page for this type of component.
For an hormone that would be:

http://endonet.bioinf.med.uni-goettingen.de/hormone/ENH00000

It is also possible to use the search of EndoNet to link to the right detail page. The URL should look like

http://endonet.bioinf.med.uni-goettingen.de/search/ENC00000
If the search pattern is unambigious the user is directed to the corresponding detail page.

Synonyms

  • IL-1R-1
  • IL-1R-alpha
  • IL-1RI
  • p80
  • interleukin-1 receptor, type I
  • antigen CD121a

General information

  • Isolated human osteoclasts(OCs) and primary bone marrow-derived OC-like cells expressed both the signaling (IL-1RI) and decoy (IL-1RII) IL-1 receptors. [1]
  • IL-1RI was detected in osteoblasts. [1]
  • Receptor for interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1A), beta (IL-1B), and interleukin-1 receptor antagonist protein (IL-1RA). Binding to the agonist leads to the activation of NF-kappa-B. Signaling involves formation of a ternary complex containing IL1RAP, TOLLIP, MYD88, and IRAK1 or IRAK2. [2]

    Influences

    • positive LIF
      • Treatment with IL-1beta (10 –9 M ) strongly stimulated LIF and IL-6 production. [3]

    Influences

    • positive IL-8
      • IL-1beta and NE (neutrophil elastase) stimulate IL-8 protein production and activate p38 MAPK in bronchial epithelial cells. [4]

    Influences

    • positive IL-8

    • positive lipocalin 2
  • pneumocyte_type_II

    Influences

    • positive lipocalin 2
      • IL-1beta induces a >10-fold up-regulation of NGAL expression in the type II pneumocyte-derived cell line A549 cells, whereas TNF-alpha, IL-6, and LPS had no effect. [5]
    • positive IL-8
  • parathyroid_gland

    Influences

    • negative PTH
      • IL-1 beta inhibits PTH secretion, this effect is blocked when (equine) parathyroid cells were incubated with an IL-1 receptor antagonist. [6]
